Match Report
Bookham 1 v 3 Cobham, League, February 19th 2008
Report by Nigel Rousell.
After Saturday's fine performance the team took the form from the Merstham game with them to Bookham on a cold frosty night. With Cobham lining up almost as Saturday, the game started as expected with both teams playing at a fast speed closing each other down and not giving up anything. The first real effort went to Bookham but a feint touch by Rory Parsons in the Cobham goal was enough to turn it onto the bar. On 40 minutes Andy Dalehouse outpaced the Bookham defenders and fired home for a 1-0 lead. This was then followed by a second yellow for the Bookham left back followed by the usual red.
Half time 1-0 to the visitors.
In the second half with the frost coming down hard, which the Bookham players were eager to point out to the officials, a further 2 goals from Dalehouse either side off a Bookham goal saw Cobham run out comfortable 3-1 winners.
